I had my groceries delivered from Walmart again today. The last time, I saw that my bill included at $10 tip to the driver. It seems to me that tips should be something that I give, not that Walmart automatically takes from me. Today I had a more expensive order, I suppose because I bought ground chuck and some other pricey groceries. I was shocked to see my bill with a $25 tip on it that I didn't authorize. Also, I had ordered potato chips, which I have done a couple of times. It was the same experience. Potato chips that were completely crunched into tiny bits. The whole bag! That's it. I called Walmart's 800 number to complain. "Never in my life have I given anyone a $25 tip!" They removed the tip from my bill. Also, they refunded the charge for the potato chips. Do I give UPS a tip for delivering packages? FedEx? The Post Office? Maybe if I ordered pizza delivery. Do they think customers should tip the cashier at the register?
